This is the post I meant to post last Thursday. Shush, it’s only 9 days late!

I have come to the conclusion that Tim Minchin is a genius. I knew this before, of course, but now I have my own eye witness account to prove it.

Here is a song by song journal of it. Because he’s worth it!

Who Needs Friends? )

In other news: (but still related)

I’m doing the MoonWalk with Jess next year. Well, the half-moon, anyway. I’ll enter as soon as I can to make sure I get in. The original plan when we first talked about it (too late for this year’s) was to decorate my bra with a Boosh theme. Now, I’ve changed my mind and want to do a Tim Minchin-themed one. With a picture and quotes. Bonus of doing the Minch (hehe) and not the Boosh is that Timmy is a hell of a lot easier to get hold of to tell him/show him pictures. I’m a member on angry-feet already but don’t use it much *is ashamed* so I’ll post on there about it and hopefully someone lovely like Linzy will nudge him in the general direction of it. That would be awesome.

Wow, I went off on one a bit there. ANYHOO. I think that’s it. OH. About those drabbles etc I said I’d do. I will do them. Tomorrow, even. Yes, and I’ll do the pics too. At some point. *sidles away*

Ok, so we made a video. It's basically just me and [info]laught_tartpratting around doing Boosh stuff.

Also, there's a bit at the end for [info]lcuddywannabe. WE PIMPED YOU BITCH!

This video involves sillyness, Booshyness, us getting attacked by wasps, and swearing. (So consider yourself warned.)

WE DON'T OWN BOOSH.

AND FOR CHRIST'S SAKE WE DON'T OWN BEETHOVEN.

Enjoy! (And please comment, we want adulation honest opinions!)

I wrote this in RE ages ago, with Jess. Because RE was where we had all our good discussions about anything (literally anything) Boosh. I'll miss it, in a way.

Dave Brown's eyes
Like big blue pies

Bluer than blue
Stickier than glue

From the first look
You will be stook

Forget azure clear skies
They're nothing on his eyes

Framed by pure black
You'll never go back

Laughter filled
Fire fuelled

Business Barratt's tiny browns
Got nothing on Bongo Brown's

I dream of men with skinny hips
And lovely plump lips
Not to mention perfect thighs
And of course, pale blue eyes.

I'm not much of a poet, no.

I shall endeavour to fill this in as best I can. No word limits, unless I feel like it. Will probably be in the Boosh fandom because I don't write much in any others. Goodness only knows what pairings they'll be.

These aren't related, just posted together because I'm organized like that.

Title: Heat of the Moment
Author: [info]miss_g_b
Word Count:
200 (drouble)

Genre: RPS
Pairing: Noel/Dave (because there’s just not enough of it, I tells ya!)
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Bad humour, cheeseyness, rain.
Disclaimer: *insert incredibly witty disclaimer here*
Author’s Comments: Challenge 7. Prompt = ‘kiss’. Thanks for the help Jess, I love you. Cross-posted to [info]boosh_shorts.

Dave wishes he hadn’t stormed out. It’s raining heavily and his dramatic exit hadn’t involved picking up a coat or umbrella.

The argument had been a petty one, about something stupid. Dave’s forgotten about it already, the guilt and sorrow sinking in like the rain currently soaking his clothes through to the skin. He looks back at Noel’s red door and frowns, wishing that Noel will come rushing out to… hit him? He deserves it.

24 seconds later, Noel comes shuffling out, huddled under his red and silver customized umbrella. His voice is quiet, only just audible over the rain pelting down around them.

“Did you mean it?”

Dave doesn’t hesitate, “Of course not.”

He bows his head, fumbles around for a decent apology. “Um… heat of the moment and all that.” He looks up nervously.

Noel is grinning, “I couldn’t stay mad at you.” Dave smiles, relieved.

Noel looks him up and down, “You look like a drowned gorilla.”

Dave just grins and pulls Noel in for a passionate kiss. It says sorry like words never could.

The umbrella slips to the floor, helped slightly by Dave.

They break apart as Noel squeals, “Dave! My hair!”

Dave just laughs.

Title: Peak of Love
Author: [info]miss_g_b
Word Count:
200 (drouble)
Genre: FPS
Pairing: Howard/Vince
Rating: PG
Warnings: Over-use of suggestive ellipses, crappy innuendo.
Disclaimer: *insert incredibly witty disclaimer here* The poem was written by my own personal Howard – [info]laught_tart.
Author’s Comments:
Challenge 7. Prompt = ‘Mountain’. Thanks for the help Jess, I love you. Cross-posted to [info]boosh_shorts.

“Don’t touch me.”

“I didn’t! I barely breathed on you!”

“Well, don’t look over my shoulder!”

“I just wanna know what you’re writing. Stop hiding it! Is it another cream poem?”

“No! Get off, Vince, this doesn’t concern you!”

“Oh, come on…”

“Vince, don’t…”

“…”

“Don’t do that.”

“…”

“…”

“Got it! You’re so easy, Howard.”

“No, don’t!”

“‘Firm ground is far beneath me; Yet the mountain’s getting steeper’

“It’s…”

‘Each move I make or breath I take; I know I’m getting weaker’

“…It’s not…”

‘Only when I can find the strength; To carry me all the way’

“…finished…”

‘Will the height of life and peak of love; Be mine to cherish each day’… What’s that all about? You’ve never climbed a mountain in your life, Howard.”

“That’s why I didn’t let you read it; you don’t understand the metaphors, sir!”

“What on earth could that be a metaphor for, you’ve never… wait, ‘When I win his heart I’ll know; That peak of love is mine’?”

“…”

“…Oh, Howard. It wasn’t that hard, was it? We got there in the end, didn’t we?”

“…Yeah. Yes, we did.”

“And we’re not too messed up, are we?”

“…No. No, we’re not.”

“…”

“…”

“…Let’s reach that peak, Howard.”

*singsong* I'm going to see La Cage Aux Folles agaaaain! *prances ecstatically*

Hence the addition of another ticker on my profile. I've got Tim Minchin to look forward to in September, then Eddie Izzard in October, nothing in November unforunately, but the 12th December is La Cage Aux Folles! The cast is staying the same except for Albin/Zaza, who will be John Barrowman. And we (me, my mum, Stewart, Jo and possibly Claire) are sitting... *fanfare* here ->

* Stage is here! *

I'm so excited. Although I wish I was 18, cause then we could book a table (the yellow seats), which would be amazing because at one point la Cagelles come and dance on them!

Also, I found this picture of Graham Norton as Albin, being... motherly!

1. List your top ten favorite men/footballers/celebrities/fictional characters/etc.
2. Answer all the questions listed.
3. Make a post!
4. Whoever wants to can do this. Spread the fun all around!

These aren't in any order, just as I think of them really. Pictures because I want to. Under the cut to save people's flists.
...I'm having fun, don't put me down )

- So, what do you like most about #2? (Julian Barratt)
He's a genius. Handsome, funny and very musically talented. And oh my god, those hands!

- If you could do anything to 4, what would it be? (Tim Minchin)
To? *censored* With? Play music. In this fantasy, I can play violin. Properly. An electric one.

- Who would you choose between 5 and 7? (Mike Fielding & Bill Bailey)
Probably Bill Bailey, because of the music/comedy combined aspect. I'd tower over Mike and get nervous.

- Out of a ten, how much would you rate 1? (Dave Brown)
Psh, 10!

- What do you find most attractive about 1? (Dave Brown)
Eyes (see picture). Everything else. Especially the bits I own. (Me and Jess a.k.a. [info]laught_tarthave an organized diagram messy scribbled thing of which bits of Dave, Noel, Julian, Mike, Rich and Matt we each own, cause we're awesome like that.)

- If you could go out with 3, what type of date would you go on? (Noel Fielding)
Some pub or club with alcohol, but not too much (I know it's a bit too much to ask of him, but hey, it's my fantasy!), and electro/rock music. And then back to his place.

- Why is 10 not higher up your list? (David Bowie)
Because that's the order I thought of them in.

- So what does 10 have to do to be brought higher up? (David Bowie)
Stay eternally young. Become my friend. In that order.

- What would be the ideal situation for you for 2 and 4? (Julian Barratt & Tim Minchin)
Firstly, hide from Jess. Secondly, make the best music ever. And then make love.

- Marry, shag or kiss - 4, 6, 8. (Tim Minchin, Eddie Izzard & Russell Howard)
Marry Tim, shag Eddie, kiss Russell.

- What do you hate most about 7? (Bill Bailey)
I really can't think of anything!

- Have you ever thought about how you'll react when you meet 3? (Noel Fielding)
Probably act like a total flid. And not be funny or cool or sexy or anything, just a complete flid. And my hair probably won't go right.

- Have you seen 1 and 2 together on tv before? (Dave Brown & Julian Barratt)
Surprisingly, yes!

- Have you ever dreamt about 6? (Eddie Izzard)
I never remember my dreams, grrr. If I have, it was probably in a way that I'm his age and I'm taking advantage of the fact he's a male lesbian. ;D

- Who would you take to a prom/ball with you?
David Bowie. Anyone who's seen Labyrinth will know why. Minus the smashing of the bubble, obviously. Really, is she THAT stupid??

- Cuddle, glomp or kiss - 1, 3, 5. (Dave Brown, Noel Fielding & Mike Fielding)
Cuddle Dave, glomp Mike, kiss Noel.

- If you could give anything to 10, what would it be? (David Bowie)
A time machine.

- Out of all of them - who would you:
Kick? None of them! I love them all!
Kiss? Dave Brown.
Pinch cheeks? Russell Howard.
Runaway with? Ziggy Stardust. To Mars.
Act like an idiot with? Noel Fielding.
Cry on? Julian Barratt, so he can hold me in his big Northern arms.
Take to see your parents? Bill Bailey. My dad would love it.
Bungee jump with? Dave Brown, because then we would be this close! And it would bring us very close together because of sharing such an experience.
Cross dress with? Now that's my kind of question! Eddie Izzard! Or Ziggy Stardust.
Swap lives with for a day? Eddie Izzard, as long as I get his body too.

Wheee, that was fun. :D

Stolen from [info]lcuddywannabe because I'm also bored:

Post it on your own journal and encourage others to copy, paste and complete their own answers to the following questions to let others know a little more about yourself. Re-post this as your name followed by "-ology".

*FOODOLOGY*

What is your salad dressing of choice?
Salad cream. Or mayo, I can't really tell the difference.

What is your favorite sit-down restaurant?
Oriental Gardens. Mmmm, Chinese.

What food could you eat every day for two weeks and not get sick of?
Chinese!

What are your pizza toppings of choice?
Cheese and tuna. If you haven't tried it, you haven't lived.

What do you like to put on your toast?
Butter and marmite, or butter and peanut butter. Depends how I'm feeling.

*TECHNOLOGY*

What is your wallpaper on your computer?
David Bowie as Jareth in Labyrinth, gazing out at me with his pretty mirrors. *sigh*

How many televisions are in your house?
One.

What color cell phone do you have?
Black.

*BIOLOGY*

Are you right-handed or left-handed?
LEFT :D

Have you ever had anything removed from your body?
Um, no. Well, I once shut my thumb in the car door and my nail fell off. Does that count?

What is the last heavy item you lifted?
I can't remember. Although today I pushed a bit of scaffolding with a guy on it around the drama studio a bit. Not exactly lifting, but similar.

Have you ever been knocked unconscious?

No, but I sleep very heavily. :)

*BULLCRAPOLOGY*

If it were possible, would you want to know the day you were going to die?
No, because I would probably find it hard to stay optimistic.

If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
I probably wouldn't. Apart from the fact I couldn't decide on one, I like my name now. :)

Would you drink an entire bottle of hot sauce for $1,000?
Which is about £500 right? No. Hot sauce, ick.

*DUMBOLOGY*

How many pairs of flip flops do you own?
Two. But I hardly ever wear them.

Last time you had a run-in with the cops?
About an hour ago. I was watching 21 Jump Street. :)

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Thinner. Prettier. More confident. Happy with who I am.

Last person you talked to?
My dad.

Last person you hugged?
Steven. <3 No, wait, Ben asked for one at rehearsal today. Nice as I am, I obliged. =)

*FAVORITOLOGY*

Season?
Spring.

Holiday?
Christmas.

Day of the week?
Saturday. Because it's cool.

Month?
March

*CURRENTOLOGY*

Missing someone?
Jess. <3

Mood?
Hot. And a mixture between fascination/disgust. (I'm half-watching a program where scientists are dissecting an elephant.)

Listening to?
Before the program, I Am What I Am, sung by John Barrowman. I prefer his version because he sings it higher so I can sing it without sounding stupid/attempting impossible notes.

Watching?
The elephant thing. 'Inside Nature's Giants,' or something.

Worrying about?
Whether I'm going to truly enjoy being in the production. But, ever the optimist, I think I probably will! :D

*RANDOMOLOGY*

First place you went this morning?
Back to sleep.

What can you not wait to do?
Go and see La Cage Aux Folles again!! 8D

What's the last movie you saw?
Eddie Izzard's Sexie.

Do you smile often?
Yes. As much as possible. I want to be a really awesome old woman with loads of laughter lines and brightly coloured hair.

So, I went to see La Cage Aux Folles in London last night. It was phenomenal! I strongly recommend it to anyone who loves drag queens, dancing (wo)men, and accepting who you are, because it's absolutely magnificent! There was a standing ovation; I haven't clapped for that long or that hard since I went to see the Mighty Boosh live! It's sexy, funny, beautiful, emotional, up-lifting... 'It's bad and beautiful, it's bawdy and bizarre ... Just who is who and what is what is quite a question at La Cage Aux Folles ... It's a bonanza, it's a mad extravaganza ... It's hot and hectic, effervescent and eclectic at La Cage Aux Folles!' I bought most of the merchandise as well! A t-shirt with 'I AM WHAT I AM' on it, the mug, the Original Cast CD, the poster and the programme of course. :D I wanted to see it with Graham Norton as Albin/ZaZa, but Roger Allam was amazing! Plus, John Barrowman will be Albin when we go and see it again. Roger Allam, by the way, looks scarily like Eddie Izzard when you first see him. He also sounds like him, so I spent the first few minutes of his first scene imagining if Eddie was playing that part... =D

Bloody amazing night out, can't wait to go and see it again!!

Ok, so there's a couple of memes I've found stolen from [info]lcuddywannabe...

Firstly...

"In subjective terms, this means you are equally heterosexual and homosexual."

So there you go. And it's pretty much right as well. ;D

Secondly...

1. Grab the nearest book.

2. Open the book to page 54.

3. Find the seventh sentence.

4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal...along with these instructions

"The spider wore bright pink lipstick, expertly applied round its mouthparts - a subtlety not lost on its intended victim, the pitch of whose buzzing reached an agonizing high C."

From Pure Dead Magic by Debi Gliori. Perfectly normal if you've read the books! If you haven't, however...!

So. Updates.
For the days of fate were strong for you... )
